What we do
Exterior restoration
When the finish is peeling or the wood is gray or bare, we strip it down to clean wood and refinish it.
Sealing and maintenance coats
New logs get their first coat of stain and sealant. An older finish gets a maintenance coat before it starts to fail, which can put off a full strip.
Interior work
Log walls, ceilings and paneling, refinished or built new. We do interior work year round.
Decks and porches
We strip and restain decks, refinish rails and posts, and build new decks.
Painting
Exterior painting on siding, trim, decks and rails.
Stripping and staining
Every house is different, so what a job needs varies. We'll go over what yours needs when we come out for the estimate.
Prep
We cover what needs covering before we start. Windows get taped and covered when we're using a product that isn't water-based, or working under a covered porch.
Stripping
We take the old finish off one of two ways: media blasting, which is dry, or pressure stripping, which is wet.
Stain and sealant
We mostly use Sashco and Sherwin-Williams stains and sealants.
Where we work
We're based in Atlanta, in Montmorency County. Most of our jobs are here or in a neighboring county: Otsego, Cheboygan, Presque Isle, Alpena, Alcona, Oscoda or Crawford. We also take jobs a county or two past those, and sometimes farther. Just ask.
